One of the most difficult tasks is truly knowing who you are. Our identities, both personal and corporate, are defined by interactions with external factors. The plethora of personality tests and mission statements can all be broken down to questions of who we think we are in relation to our environments. An intrinsic understanding of self comes only through layers of experience and contemplation.
We exist as probabilities
Waves of possibilities
Yet, we only know who we are
When we collapse onto the shore
My interests are diverse and I hope that the eclectic musings and contemplations on this site will serve as adequate representations of me.
I have been interested in photography for many years and while I started with my father’s Canon AE1, I’ve used several different film and DSLR cameras over the years. I now use a Pentax K-5 II.
From quantum theory to cognitive psychology, and from questions of race to theology, contemplation on diverse ideas is a fundamentally significant part of development as a person.
With an undergraduate degree in History and Asian Studies, and a Master’s Degree in International Relations, a Doctorate in History, and the Postdoctoral Bridge Program in Business, academics and consulting are a large part of my life.
