The most basic information for most people involved in academia is their curriculum vitae. This “course of life” can be exhaustive. Extolling my life in a single document, or even just my professional life in a single document seems pretentious to me. I do however understand the need to present qualifications and some background. Therefore, I have a brief CV and ask that anyone wishing further information or clarification contact me for it. I would much rather use my time to accomplish the next task rather than revel in the successes of the past. Please forgive my brevity.
